Brett Bezak, DMD, MD
Meet Dr. Bezak
Dr. Bezak is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who joined Oral Surgery Associates after completing 6 years of residency at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota in 2018. His training included graduation from Mayo Clinic School of Medicine. Before that, he graduated dental school at the top of his class at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio in 2012. His baccalaureate foundation was in microbiology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and he grew up in the metro Detroit area.
Dr. Bezak is passionate about the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, and he has particular professional interests in ambulatory anesthesia, oral and facial pathology, reconstructive surgery, orthognathic surgery, surgical treatments for obstructive sleep apnea, and dental implant surgery. He maintains licenses to practice dentistry and medicine. He has hospital privileges at Spectrum Health Hospitals and takes call there. He has certifications in Microsurgery, Basic Life Support (CPR), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). He is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Bezak is a member of American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) and American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ACOMS), having won national research and presentation awards from both professional groups. He has published in many peer-reviewed journals and has other awards in the fields of oral medicine, craniofacial pain, oral biology, humanitarianism, and dental implantology. He has gone on medical mission trips with emphasis on cleft lip and palate surgery.
Brett and his wife Brittany have two children, Anderson and Ellery, and they enjoy being active in the community. They also enjoy family time together with outdoor sports and recreation and University of Michigan athletics.
